STEVE ZIRKEL (bass) A 20-year veteran of the Austin Jazz Scene, Steve's first instrument was trumpet. Later, he began doubling on bass to increase his performance opportunities. After a brief period of jazz studies a the University of Texas at Austin, Steve became heavily involved on the local music scene, leading him eventually to performances with Justice Records' Kellye Gray, Beto and the Fairlanes, Jerry Jeff Walker, Harry Sheppard, Dave Catney, Mitch Watkins, and a world tour in 1988 with Canadian Poet, LEONARD COHEN. In 1987 he participated in the Texas Music Revue goodwill tour of the Soviet Union, which included Bobby Bridger, Tomas Ramirez, and Butch Hancock. He has performed on the nationally acclaimed PBS series Austin City Limits three time and recorded with Carlos Guedes, Tomas Ramirez, Will Taylor, and Mitch Watkins. He now leads his own salsa band in Austin, Texas on piano.

GLENN REXACH (guitars) A talented composer and bandleader in his own right, Rexach is currently fronting a power jazz trio. Last year he toured the US playing bass with the Vangards and has also played with Tomas Ramirez, Creative Opportunity Orchestra, James Polk, Dan Del Santo, and many other Austin greats. In 1993 he release a cassette and his group Round Trip was awarded best electric jazz band from the 1994 Clarksville Jazz and Arts Festival.

BRAD EVILSIZER(drums) Before coming to Austin, Brad was one of Denver's most in demand session drummers with 22album credits to date. While in Denver he performed with groups such as Andy Narell, Dotsero, Peter Kater, Tsunami, Billy Tolls, Wake Up Call, and Kirwan Brown. Settling in Austin just over a year ago, Brad's wide stylistic expertise has made him quite in demand with acts such as Mitch Watkins, Erich Avinger, Ian Moore, Gingbreadmen, and Orchestra Te Mere. Brad's musical studies include 3 years in music performance/music education at Wichita State University, 3 years in music engineering at the University of Colorado earning him a Bachelor of Science.

CHRIS SEARLES (drums) Studying under the very same renegade band director that Taylor and Zirkel had, Searles met Taylor in High School nine years ago, where the two immediately started playing together under many different formations. Searles lost no time becoming known as one of Austin's premier creative artists on drums and percussion. He has worked with Alejandro Escovedo, The Creative Opportunity Orchestra, Mose Allison, Tomas Ramirez, and Dan del Santo, and is currently with Abra Moore, Ingrid Karklins, David Rice, David Garza, Shawn Colvin and Sara Hickman.

ELIAS HASLANGER (saxophones) After receiving his bachelor of music with a jazz emphasis from UT in 1992, Haslanger moved to New York City for a period of study with acclaimed bebop saxophonist Dick Oatts. Mr. Oatts described his student as "a player with a strong identity who has a wealth of talent and a serious dedication to music." After playing on the New York jazz scene for a while, Haslanger moved back to Austin where he soon released a CD entitled Standards. Michael Point of the Austin American-Statesman described Haslanger as " a full grown talent, both as a composer and instrumentalist whose future has almost unlimited potential and should be regarded in national terms."
